On April 24-27, the fourth meeting of the IECTC69 Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging Working Group was successfully held in Beijing. The meeting was hosted by China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. More than 30 experts from 8 countries and regions including China, the United States, Germany and Japan attended the meeting. The meeting focused on the standard manuscript of IEC61980-3 (special requirements for electromagnetic field transmission of electric vehicle wireless charging system). The experts discussed the hot issues of the industry, such as the wireless charging magnetic field transmission technical conditions of electric vehicles and the requirements of wireless charging medium and high frequency magnetic fields.
This conference aims to address the key issues of standardization of the interoperability of magnetic coupling wireless charging technology for electric vehicles. The meeting focused on the interoperability, security, system performance indicators and other issues of the wireless charging system, in the transmission distance classification, frequency segment, ground equipment installation position, interoperability impedance test method, interoperability reference coil The implementation of power start/shutdown speed and system protection functions has reached a preliminary consensus, which will effectively promote the realization of wireless charging interconnection of electric vehicles.
At present, China has made important progress in the research on wireless charging standardization of electric vehicles. Five national standards have been established, four of which have been submitted for approval, of which China Electric Power Institute has led three projects, which are expected to be released in 2018. In addition, another four related national standards projects were completed in 2018, of which China Electric Power Institute took the lead. In addition, in 2017, the China Electricity Council promoted the establishment of the electric vehicle wireless charging standard working group of the electric vehicle charging and replacing facilities standardization technical committee of the energy industry. The secretariat is affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Electric Power, under the organization of the working group, at home and abroad 25 The home unit is carrying out wireless charging products and interoperability testing activities for electric vehicles. The formulation of the above national standards and the development of activities also mark the formation of a system for wireless charging of electric vehicles in China, and provide a solid standardization basis for the development of wireless charging industry in China.
The meeting enhanced the importance and understanding of Chinese companies on relevant international standards, and promoted the deeper correlation and coordination between national standards and international standards, which is conducive to Chinese enterprises gaining a first-round opportunity in the new round of international competition.
